NAMM 2026: The Casio DN-SE10 Dimension Shifter is a novel way to control effects pedals

There have been a lot of innovative guitar gadgets introduced over the years. Some stay, some go. Regardless, the spirit of invention is a beautiful thing. Casio (I know, right?!) is the latest company to release something the guitar world hasn’t seen before at NAMM 2026.

Casio has always been innovative in the keyboard and synthesizer worlds, but it’s rare to see them step into guitar. And with a name like the Dimension Shifter, the intrigue for guitar players to check out this guitar accessory is immediate.

No hands required

So what does the Casio DN-SE10 do? It allows you to control settings on guitar pedals through your guitar strap!  It’s a wireless controller that physically connects to a guitar strap. No more crouching to twist knobs or hit switches.

It consists of two devices. One attaches between the guitar strap and the guitar itself, and includes a built-in spring. Pulling downwards on the guitar neck causes the spring to stretch or compress, which allows the device to act like a dynamic controller.

The full range of the spring is 20mm and calibration of the active range. This provides more control over the response of the transmitter, which helps users to avoid accidental changes.

The receiver pairs to the transmitter through Bluetooth and easily mounts onto a pedalboard. And through a TRS switch it’s compatible with any type of effects pedal. When used with an expression pedal you can even get dynamic control over two effects simultaneously.
