Pass the isolation time this month for free with Korg’s iKaossilator app

With the recent spike in news surrounding the quick spread of the COVID-19 virus, musicians have more time on hand. And, Korg may have a solution for those who want to better pass the time. The company has announced that its iKaossilator app will now be available for free

iKaossilator is a dynamic phrase synthesizer app that uses a library of software instruments and loops across several genres. In it, users can select their own keys, and use its five parts individually to play around with, and layer tracks. Its loops vary across genres such as Drum n/ Bass, Electro, Bossa, Deep House, and many others. Any amount of these can be mapped to a part, and modified by pitch or tone by dragging a finger across its interface. Typically, this app costs $14.99 in both the App, and Google Play stores. But in a statement, Korg addressed how it noticed the app could play as a significant benefit for musicians to help pass the time, and let it “help you with a musical way to occupy your mind.”

In a time where there is so much confusion, and panic for some, this move by Korg really helps offer some peace of mind. Using creativity as a way to let out your worries, and take your mind away for a while is absolutely helpful. And this company noticed the need, and made its app available for free. iKaossilator is available to download for iPhones from the App Store for free through March 31st, and on the Google Play Store for Android devices through March 20th. If you want to learn more about the app and its features, head over here to its page on Korg’s website to check out some demo material.
