Electro-Harmonix announces new and enhanced Grand Canyon Delay & Looper pedal

At the beginning of 2017, Electro-Harmonix, known as the creator of some of the greatest guitar pedals of our time, debuted its Canyon Delay & Looper pedal. It featured a small frame, a tap tempo button for its delay, modulation, reverb, and many other time-based effects.

Since its release, the Canyon ended up being one of the most significant releases from Electro-Harmonix in its long history. Now, it’s releasing a highly updated version of this pedal — the Electro-Harmonix Grand Canyon Delay & Looper, with many more integrated effects and features to enjoy and utilize while performing.

Features

The newly announced Grand Canyon Delay was released essentially to act as the Canyon’s ‘older sibling’ so to speak, with most of the same features as its predecessor, but in a more complex and intuitive package.

The simple tap/divide button on the original version of the pedal has been upgraded to a button next to a series of 5 LED lights next to a 1/4 note, an 1/8th note, a 1/16th note, ‘triplet,’ and ‘dot,’ respectively. The delay features are also blown up in a big way – including buttons for ‘EXP Mode,’ ‘Moment,’ ‘Tails,’ and ‘Ping Pong.’ Which allow more user customization toward the desired types of delay. Additionally, the types of delay available are much more specified, including a switch to select between the following delays:

  • Echo
  • Mod
  • Multi
  • Reverse
  • DMM
  • Tape
  • Reverb
  • Pitch
  • Shim
  • Sample/Hold
  • Drum
  • Doubler

The user can now select any of these specific delay types, and control the 2 sub-effects that are partnered with each, as well.

The pedal also incorporates the same looper function as its predecessor. Finally, the Grand Canyon Delay & Looper completes its upgrade with a ‘Bypass/Stop’ function so that the user can still pass signal through the pedal, but work around the actual effects included.

Price

The Electro-Harmonix Grand Canyon Delay & Looper pedal is now available for pre-order on the Reverb.com online marketplace at a very reasonable price of $249. Which is especially reasonable, considering the fact that the original Canyon Delay & Looper is available at a price of $139 – just $110 cheaper than its newest version. If this seems like a great deal to you, make sure to reserve yourself one today!
