You can now get iZotope’s awesome Ozone 8 Elements for free

iZotope has been beta testing Ozone 9 for some time now, and judging by the few details we have so far, it looks awesome.  Ozone contains within everything one could need for final mastering of a project. While I haven’t gone as far as to stop using the analog components of my mastering chain, Ozone’s intelligent processing plugins always grace a song in some way before I deliver final products to clients.

Ozone 9 will not be released for some time, but in the meantime there’s still the already-great Ozone 8. If you’ve never tried the software before, iZotope will be offering Ozone 8 Elements for free from today until October 2. Elements includes three of Ozone’s legendary intelligent plugins; Maximizer, Imager, and Equalizer. This selection provides more than enough to control tone, dynamics, and the stereo image of any audio. For tonal shifting, the fully parametric multi band equalizer offers more tools than most mastering projects will ever need. Aside from the expected sweepable, variable width Qs, includes loads of gain and attenuation on tap, shelving, and both low and high pass filtering. The imager plugin allows the stereo image to be controlled across the entire frequency spectrum, with controls spread across four different frequency ranges. To finish things off, the Maximizer plugin is an easy to manipulate limiter, offering variety for one of the most important tools in mastering. Additionally, imaging, metering, and gain tools are provided as well.

Anyone who takes advantage of this free download provided by iZotope will receive special pricing upon the full release of Ozone 9. The Software can be used as a standalone mastering platform, allowing users to polish a mix outside of a standard DAW. Ozone provides both analog character and digital transparency, bringing users the option to use whatever fits best with the project they are working on. Whether you take advantage only of the Ozone 8 Elements bundle or go for the full experience of Ozone 9 when it comes out, you’ll find yourself able to master projects quicker and easier than ever before.

iZotope’s Ozone suite can be purchased through SweetWater. However, the temporary offer of Ozone 8 Elements can be downloaded straight from iZotope’s website.
