Fender’s Custom Shop launches three beautiful ‘Game of Thrones’-inspired guitars

Fender is getting into the Game of Thrones mood too, just like the rest of the country. In celebration of the launch of the final season of Game of Thrones, Fender has unveiled three beautiful new custom shop guitars, themed with Game of Thrones imagery and design.

There’s one Stratocaster, one Telecaster, and one Jaguar guitar, and they promise to truly capture the essence of the Game of Thrones setting. Ron Thorn, the Principal Master Builder at Fender’s Custom Shop, is behind the new guitars — so you know that they’re well-built. Of course, they’re pricey too — the most inexpensive is the Game of Thrones House Stark Telecaster, which comes at an eye-watering $25,000.

Check out the three new guitars below.

Fender Game of Thrones House Stark Telecaster

First up is the Game of Thrones House Stark Telecaster, which comes at $25,000, and boasts a lightweight swamp ash body and sterling silver perfling that’s aimed at reflecting the look and feel of Winterfell. The neck is built with maple and features an ebony fingerboard, along with a sterling silver Dire Wolf sigil inlay on the first fret, and another embossed nickel silver inlay on the pickguard.

The guitar goes further than that too — you’ll get hand-engraved knobs, an etched neck plate, and a thin lacquer over custom paints, with the paints including “Raven Black” and “Gray Wolf.” The guitar case is themed too — it offers a faux wolf fur lining and black suede interior. The guitar is available for $25,000 from the Fender website.

Fender Game of Thrones House Lannister Jaguar

Next up is the Fender Game of Thrones House Lannister Jaguar, which boasts a lightweight alder body and a features beautiful 24k Gold leaf in its design, on both the front of the guitar, and on the back. You’ll also get a maple neck with an ebony fingerboard, along with a hand-cut brass Lion sigil inlay on the first fret, along with a 24k leaf heraldry design headstock. There’s gold hardware and a gold-plated pickguard too, with engravings for the Lannister’s sigil.

Other features include an etched neck plate, hand-engraved knobs, and a thin lacquer over custom paints, with paints used including “Burnt Crimson” and “Lannister Gold.” When it comes to the case, you’ll get gold accents and a crushed velvet interior with all gold hardware. The guitar comes at $30,000, and can be bought at the Fender website.

Fender Game of Thrones House Targaryen Stratocaster

Last but not least is the Fender Game of Thrones House Targaryen Stratocaster, which takes inspiration from the three-headed dragon, and features carved dragon scales across the front and back of the guitar. The guitar is made from a lightweight alder and features black hardware, a maple neck, and an ebony fretboard. It also offers a hand-cut and engraved sterling silver three-headed dragon inlay on the first fret, and a hand-tooled and stained leather pickguard with the Targaryen sigil. It also offers an etched neck plate, and has a thin lacquer over a “Dragonglass Black” paint.

When it comes to the guitar case, you’ll get an all-black reptile design on the exterior, with red stitch accents both inside and outside the guitar. The guitar comes at $35,000, and is available from the Fender website.
