Antares Auto-Tune Artist replaces ‘Live’ with updated real-time processing power

Auto-Tune is known as one of the pinnacle plugins available today for pitch correction, and real-time correction at that. Recently, Antares announced some updates happening within the Auto-Tune family, primarily around what has for a long time been referred to as “Auto-Tune Live.” This tier of Auto-Tune sits right in the middle, above the affordable Auto-Tune EFX+ offering more features, and below Auto-Tune Pro. Now, the company has announced that ‘Live’ has been replaced with Auto-Tune Artist. However, there is much more than a simple name change in store with this piece of software.

With Auto-Tune Live, users were able to access a great deal of features that were not available through EFX+, without having to shell out big bucks for the Pro edition. Auto-Tune Artist grants the same features and accessibility that were available within Live, but now the company has upgraded the plugin’s real-time tuning processing power for a much quicker response whether performing on stage, or in the recording studio. These new processing speeds were among some of the key highlights when Antares unveiled EFX+ earlier this year, and has since then made it quite popular.

After the new speeds became the new norm, Antares figured it would be best to offer the same standard in its mid-tier version, under this new name. Additionally, Auto-Tune Artist adopts features previously only offered from its “Pro” edition, such as classic mode, easy/advanced mode, and auto-key. Antares Auto-Tune Artist is available for purchase now on the company website, at a price of $299 and comes in VST/AU/AAX formats for both PC and Mac users. In even better news, everybody who purchased Auto-Tune Live on or after May 1st, 2019 can now upgrade to Auto-Tune Artist for free. Paid upgrades are also available to users who currently use one of the cheaper options. Whether you want to learn more, try it, or buy it, you can do all three right over at its dedicated page on the Antares company website.
