Behringer Eurolive ELX Line Array

behringer live ELXHey everyone, JP here! So sorry I missed my typical Monday spew of information, hope you guys aren’t too sad. But today I made a discovery. Flashback to NAMM 2012, Behringer came out with a line array. A LINE ARRAY?! Yes, a line array. Before you start making jokes, they’ve stepped their game up these days. All the new stuff they have came out with is pretty sweet and pretty NON Behringer ish. The Eurolive ELX array comes in two sizes, the 42 and 82. They appear to come tour ready for flying or stacking, whatever you prefer. But I would use them for a bar set up. They are passive speakers, so that’s why they’re cheaper then a normal box ($1400-$1600 per). Everyone now is revamping their “bar” set ups to make it more space friendly. With a set up like this, and an x32 at FOH, you have now eliminated a ton of gear, made it sound better, and took some literal weight off your show. Personally, I’d go with the 82’s because they don’t look like “babies first line array”. Below you’ll see some tech specs and junk. BUT, this is a solid set up for a basic bar band that does bigger shows occasionally.

Cheers!
