NAMM 2013: Peavey Vypyr VIP

Another huge release from NAMM is Peaveys new Vypyr VIP series of amps. But here’s the catch. These amps can handle electric guitar, acoustic guitar AND bass. All in one amp. Now, is this just a gimmick and it’s really a low quality amp? Maybe. We will find out. Peavey certainly has its fair share of quality products, such as the Peavey Triple XXX II and the Peavey 6505+. Obviously the main point to this amp is that it is for the multi-instrumentalist. Many guitarists play bass and many bassists play guitar. There are 3 models available in the Vypyr VIP range, aptly title the Vypyr VIP 1, Vypyr VIP 2 and Vypyr VIP 3. It also has a very easy to understand interface and allows for USB connection for recording. There is no questioning that this amp SEEMS to be aimed at the beginner, but who knows we could find that it is a great piece of hardware after all!
