NAMM 2021: Mackie unveils three new versatile SRT series speakers, coupled with a subwoofer option

Mackie has taken the wraps off of a series of new loudspeakers built specifically for working musicians. There are three new 1600W speakers in the series, all starting at a relatively affordable price of $500.

According to Mackie, the speakers are built on three key pillars: Pure performance, a strong built, and am intelligent design. The company says the speakers are built with rugged materials and are built to last on tours, plus they feature Advanced Impulse DSP input overload protection, wireless streaming and control, and more.

“We made this line for real-world working musicians and DJs that are ready for an upgrade in sound quality and power without breaking the bank.” said Matt Redmon, Director of Product Marketing at Mackie. “We packed some of our best technology, tuning, and user-friendly features while keeping them at a price that is realistic for just about anyone.”

As mentioned, there are three speakers in total, including a 10-inch 1600W speaker that comes with a built-in four-channel mixer and SRT Connect app support for iOS and Android, the ability to go up to 128dB, and more. This speaker comes at $499. The 12-inch speaker offers the same features in a package that can go up to 132dB, and comes at $599. Last but not least is the 15-inch model, which ups the sound pressure level to 133dB.

All three speakers support an 18-inch subwoofer, which is available separately. The subwoofer is built to add powerful bass to the speakers, and supports a frequency range of between 33Hz and 200Hz. The subwoofer comes at $799.

Generally speaking, these look like versatile speakers that could be used in a range of different situations. The SRT Connect app also adds a range of extra versatility, considering the fact that it allows users to mix levels straight from their phone.

You’ll be able to get your hands on the speakers for yourself straight from the Mackie website.
