LANDR – an online drag and drop service that instantly masters your music

Getting your music mastered can sometimes be a little bit of a hassle. You can either do it yourself, which isn’t necessarily a good idea if you don’t know what you’re doing, or you can pay a lot of money to get a mastering engineer to do it. But what if there was a third, much easier option? Well maybe there is! Introducing LANDR.

LANDR, pronounced L and R, is described by MixGenius, the company that owns LANDR, as the world’s first intelligent mastering tool. The website has a number of complex algorithms that essentially analyze your music, master it, and then send it back to you. The company says that the service uses “micro-genre detection” to make subtle frame by frame adjustments and selectively use tools like multi-band compression, EQ, and so on. Not only that, but the company also says that the technology is able to learn. “Basically, the more we throw at LANDR, the better it gets.”

You can try LANDR out for yourself here. The service is still very young, and a free account will allow you to get unlimited 192kbps MP3 masters. A Pro account for $9 per month will get you four uncompressed masters, and a $19 per month Pro Unlimited account will get you unlimited uncompressed masters.
