TC Electronic announces 3 new loudness meter plugins

Today TC Electronic announced 3 new loudness meter plugins – the LM1n, LM2n and the LM6n. According to TC Electronic, the LM2n and the LM6n offer a wealth of new features, including their “radar view” (pictured above). The LM2n and LM6n will replace the old LM2 and LM6 plugins.

The plugins support all major plugin formats, including AAX, RTAS, VST, and so on.

The LM2n and the LM6n are actually almost identical, with the only difference being that the LM6n supports 5.1 surround, as well as detailed logging for documenting delivery specs.

The new LM1n uses the same algorithm as the LM2n and LM6n, but instead displays numbers for Program Loudness (I), and either Loudness Range (LRA), Max Momentary Loudness (M), Max Short Term Loudness (S), or sliding Loudness (10 seconds).
